US National Emergency Update
These are definitely some strange times we are living in now folks. The crew behind Podcasts4People.com want everyone out there in listening land to stay healthy and safe.
Stay inside and listen to podcasts,

Slow down and take in what you have,
however large or small they may be.
One of our producers started to document his experiences as a Restaurant manager at the start of the National emergency announcement, up through his state closing all dine-in areas of restaurants and bars; essentially closing down many fine and casual dining concepts overnight. While some pizza parlors and sports bars have been able to shift their operations to strictly takeout, curbside, or delivery, many restaurants whose menus aren't optimized for takeout weren't able to hit the needed margins to stay open. So an entire industry was essentially shut down overnight with little foresight or plan for the days and weeks ahead. Many had coolers full of fresh produce and product that they had to share with their newly-unemployed staff or donate to a homeless shelter just to keep it from going to waste. And waste, it seems, is the new name of the game. People across the globe are hoarding piles upon piles of toilet paper and cleaning supplies, not to mention highly valuable face masks that should be reserved for our brave men and woman on the front lines of this pandemic; the nurses, doctors, utility workers, and any job now deemed essential by their local and state entities.
Enjoy the first of what I feel will be quite a few of these video diaries from the front lines of the unemployment line.
***We will continue to work on content as we send our staff into the virtusphere of online collaboration; it will be a testament to their dedication and passion of delivering theater of the mind, and an escape from reality, if only for just a brief while. In times like these, we feel this is crucial to the mental health of an entire population soon to all be in quarantine, at home, with nothing else to do.
Enjoy!
